BRATTLEBORO — Following the airing of the “Joy of Marijuana” show with guest Larry Bloch on our last Marijuana Resolve program on BCTV last month, Vidda Crochetta and I have had a lot of people asking us about how can they speak about their own good experiences with past use of marijuana.
Many people are telling us that they are tired of hearing only about how bad marijuana is, and that they want to help us balance the picture. Because of the overwhelming interest in our “Joy of Marijuana” programming, we have decided to tape our some future BCTV episodes with a live audience.
A lot of people here know that a big part of our mission is to involve the community directly to help put a face on this issue. Vidda and I think we can help people on both sides of the fence to better understand that some of us really want to enjoy smoking marijuana in peace, in safety, and with privacy.
No matter what you personally think about marijuana, it should still be our decision to use it responsibly. That is the American way.
To help other people who have enjoyed marijuana in the past speak out, the community is invited to join our “live audience” Marijuana Resolve program on Wednesday, Aug. 24, at 4 p.m. We will be taping in the third-floor BCTV Studios at 230 Main St. in Brattleboro. Audience participation will be part of the show when it is aired.
