Bellows Falls Third Friday swings into fall

BELLOWS FALLS — On the third Friday of every month, downtown Bellows Falls opens its doors for an evening of art, music, local shopping, food, and fun. Here is what's happening on Oct. 21 for the harvest edition of Bellows Falls Third Friday:

• Bellows Falls Farmers' Market: Height of fall season produce. Live Funkology 101 radio broadcast with Professor Funk, 4-6:30 p.m.

• Canal Street Beads: The store, at its newly expanded location of Canal Street Beads in the Exner Block, will feature a raffle prize drawing. Refreshments served, 5-8 p.m.

• Dellamano Glass: Special raffle prize drawing. Refreshments served, 5-8pm.

• Halladays Harvest Barn: Wine and cheese tasting with samples of specialty mixes and dips, 1-7 p.m.

• Newbury Gallery/Vermont Pretzel: Opening reception for local artist Anne Y's new painting exhibit. Refreshments served, 5-7 p.m.

• Vice & Verses: Open Mic Poetry and Mayhem hosted by Clara Rose Thornton in the RAMP Gallery, Project Space 9. $3-$5 suggested donation. BYOB, 6-8 p.m.

• Village Square Booksellers: Reading and book signing benefit for TARPS Animal Shelter with Jon Katz, author of Going Home: Finding Peace When Your Pet Dies. Starts at 7 p.m.

• Works on Paper: Opening reception for Rick Hearn's exhibit of drawings, Ventures into Exploration. Refreshments served, 6-8 p.m.
