BMC holds fundraising dinner in a pizza factory

BRATTLEBORO — The Brattleboro Music Center invites the entire community to a fun slice of fundraising - dinner in a pizza factory - on Saturday, May 5.

BMC presents an informal evening of fundraising to support student scholarships and outreach programs at Against the Grain Gourmet in Brattleboro.

Dinner at the pizza factory includes not only a meal, but also entertainment and a silent auction.

The family seating, at 4:30 pm, is fun for all ages (careful, watch out for the stilt walker) and features a musical performance by Bill Shontz.

Strolling student musicians and a cappella group Renegade add to the festivities during the 6:30 pm seating. Fresh from opera houses and concert halls, tenor Jim Anderson joins guests in the factory as the host for the evening.

Pizza, salad, bread, beverages, and dessert will be served buffet-style; with wine available for purchase. The menu offers gluten-free options.

After dinner, browse the silent auction for catered dinners, restaurant certificates, theater and concert tickets, gardening services, pottery, musicians for hire, voice lessons, piano tuning, golf rounds, homemade baked goods, massages, chimney cleaning, and other bargains.

Against The Grain Gourmet is located in the Old Book Press Building, behind Agway in Brattleboro.

Tickets are $10 for children and $15 for adults, with a $45 family maximum. Make reservations, for either the 4:30 or 6:30 seating, by calling the Brattleboro Music Center at 802-257-4523, or reserve on-line at www.bmcvt.org.
