United Way joins the circus

Teams up with New England Center for Circus Arts for benefit show

PUTNEY — United Way of Windham County and New England Center for Circus Arts (NECCA) are joining up for a night of clowning around and flying trapezes during a fundraising event to benefit United Way.

On May 12 at 7:30 p.m., the professional-track circus students at NECCA will show off all they have learned this year at this gala event at the Greenhoe Theater at Landmark College.

Admission is $15 for adults 14 and over, and $8 for children. Tickets are on sale now and may be purchased at www.unitedwaywindham.org. Tickets will also be available for sale at the door the night of the performance.

Organized by United Way's Board of Directors, this fun, family event will help support the many United Way community-impact programs in Windham County, including initiatives around education, by helping adults, children and youth to achieve their potential; income, by promoting financial stability and independence; and health, by improving people's health and well-being.

A refreshment stand will be available offering snacks and circus foods including popcorn, brownies, cookies, water, and juice for sale.
