Annual Estey Garden Party celebrates 10th anniversary of museum

DUMMERSTON — The Estey Organ Museum, which is dedicated to the history and innovations of Brattleboro's reed, pipe and electric organ maker, the Estey Organ Company, is celebrating its 10th anniversary. Museum organizers present an afternoon benefit of food, fun, flowers, and flying machines on Sunday, Aug. 19, from 4 to 7 p.m. The event will also celebrate the beginning of the new Estey Labs program at the museum.

Hosted by John and Cindy Wilcox, the annual Estey Organ Museum Garden Party gives guests a chance to relax, eat, talk, and listen to music while enjoying gardens and mountain views. The home is located at 125 East Orchard Road, off Black Mountain Road, in Dummerston.

This is the third annual Garden Party benefit for the museum. This year, the menu features an array of local options including fresh salads, corn on the cob, desserts, and a Build-Your-Own-Burger barbecue.

Music will be provided by Estey's Muse, featuring Ned Phoenix and Dennis Waring.

There will be paper airplane making, demonstrations, and competitions.

Tickets are $25 per person or $40 per pair. Children are free when accompanied by adults. Tickets are available online at www.esteyorganmuseum.org. For further information, contact Alan Dann at 802-464-0329.
