BMH is looking for ‘Daddy Bloggers’ for its website

BRATTLEBORO — Through Oct. 8, Brattleboro Memorial Hospital is sponsoring a Daddy Blogger contest. All fathers in the tri-state region are invited to enter. Through the contest, the hospital plans to select four to six area dads to be featured as permanent daddy bloggers. Each month their posts will appear on the BMH daddy blog. Winning dads will also receive a Sony Bloggie camera.

“Today's dads are getting more involved in exchanging ideas and connecting with one another. Whether it's about the latest toy, advice on work-life balance, new learning activities, the latest movie, or sharing cooking recipes, fathers are finding there is a lot to learn from one another,” said Brattleboro Memorial Hospital Communications Specialist Nicole Zinn.

“We want to help foster this environment where dads can learn, support and share with one another - especially dads in our local community."

To enter the contest, visit Brattleboro Memorial Hospital's Facebook page at www.facebook.com/BMHVT and become a fan by clicking the “Like” button. Upload a video or post a short essay on why you'd be a great daddy blogger. If your post is persuasive - whether it's funny, touching, or engaging - you could be one of the area dads selected to become a featured daddy blogger on the BMH Dads Blog.

Each featured blogger will write at least one post a month. The topics will vary greatly, depending on the personalities of the bloggers and their daily experiences in the community. Visitors can expect some of the posts will be in the form of video posts. The bloggers will meet in person every three months at blogger brunches to share ideas and brainstorm upcoming topics.

The BMH Dads Blog will serve as an essential resource for dads to share views, experiences and tips with area dads. Of course, moms are welcome to read the blog and submit their comments as well. For more information, visit daddyviews.com.
