Jatoba returns to the Rockingham Meeting House for conclusion of summer concert series

ROCKINGHAM — The band Jatoba returns to the Rockingham Meeting House Sunday, Oct. 7, at 2 p.m.

The concert is presented by Vermont Festivals, LLC, in association with Flying Under Radar, Barnaby's Presents, and Kicking & Screaming.

This is the final 2012 all-acoustic “Summer Sunday Social” concert.

The group performed last year at a special benefit show for victims of Tropical Storm Irene. The band consists of John Jamison on mandolin, guitar, and sitar; Jeff Richardson on stand-up bass and spoons; and Jason Scaggs on guitar and banjo.

Doors for the show open at 1:30 p.m., with show time at 2 p.m.

Tickets are $18 in advance and are available at Village Square Booksellers and Fat Franks in Bellows Falls, Turn it Up! in Brattleboro, Misty Valley Books in Chester, and online at www.brattleborotix.com. Best-in-house “Angel” seating is $25, and allows purchasers priority entry to choose their desired seats.

The Rockingham Meeting House is a National Historic Landmark built between 1787 and 1801 and features wooden “pig-pen” pews, no electricity, and superb acoustics. It is located on Meeting House Road, just off Route 103, a half-mile west of Exit 6 of Interstate 91. Free parking is available.
