Wilmington tax bills due
WILMINGTON-The second installment of tax bills is due Friday, Feb. 22. Tax bills were mailed in July. Taxpayers will not receive a separate bill for the February payment.

Informational hearing, meet-the-candidates night
WILMINGTON-In advance of Town Meeting, make time for an informational hearing and meet-the-candidates night at the Town Hall Meeting Room on Wednesday, Feb. 27, at 6 p.m.
The event is sponsored by the Wilmington Selectboard and the Deerfield Valley Rotary.
Librarian resigns
WILMINGTON-Pettee Memorial Library trustees are preparing to advertise for a librarian to replace Amity Aldridge DeAngelis, whose last day was Jan. 31.
According to draft minutes, library trustees had declined DeAngelis's petition for maternity leave and health benefits.
New (used) truck for town
MARLBORO-At a special Select Board meeting on Jan. 31, board members approved Road Foreman David Elliot's proposal to purchase a used 2006 Ford F-450 XL pickup truck, with a dump body, for the highway department.
The town will spend $10,838, covering the purchase price of $10,795 and registration fee of $45.
Dover School earns top NECAP scores
DOVER-The Dover School is pleased to report it landed New England Common Assessment Program (NECAP) scores of 93 percent in reading and 91 percent in math.
Considered with last year's scores, The Dover School is one of only three Vermont schools, and is the only school in Windham County, to have earned consecutive 90/90 years.
State averages were 73 percent in reading and 65 percent in math.
