Town has vacancies on boards, committees

BRATTLEBORO — Terms of many Brattleboro committees and boards expire on June 30. The town is looking for volunteers to serve on the following committees and boards:

• Agricultural Advisory Board - six vacancies, three-year term

• Arts Committee - four vacancies, three-year term

• BASIC (Brattleboro Area Skatepark is Coming) - two vacancies

• Brattleboro Housing Authority Representative - one vacancy, five-year term

• CPCC (Citizen Police Communications Committee) - three vacancies, two-year term

• Conservation Commission - one vacancy, four-year term

• Development Review Board - two vacancies, two-year term

• Development Review Board Alternate - three vacancies, one-year term

• Energy Committee - two vacancies for three-year terms; two vacancies for two-year terms

• Energy Coordinator - one vacancy, one-year term

• Fence Viewer (by statute, must be legal voter of the Town) - three vacancies, one-year term

• Honor Roll Committee - three vacancies, one-year term

• Inspector, Lumber Shingles & Wood - one vacancy, one-year term

• Planning Commission - two vacancies, four-year terms

• Recreation & Parks Board - one vacancy, three-year term

• Rescue Inc. Trustee - one vacancy, one-year term

• Senior Solutions Representative - two vacancies, one-year term

• SEVCA Representative - one vacancy, one-year term

• Town Service Officer - one vacancy, one-year term

• Traffic Safety Committee - one citizen vacancy for two-year term; one School Board member vacancy for two-year term

• Tree Advisory Committee - two vacancies, three-year terms

• West River Park Committee - one vacancy

• Weigher of Coal - one vacancy, one-year term

The Selectboard will make first appointments at its June 4 meeting. The deadline to submit applications for the June 4 meeting is Wednesday, May 29, at noon.

The Selectboard may make additional appointments at its June 18 meeting. The deadline to submit applications for the June 18 meeting is Wednesday, June 12, at noon.
