Brattleboro Women’s Chorus seeks singers for fall season

BRATTLEBORO — The Brattleboro Women's Chorus is registering for its 18th fall session. If you love to sing, would like to mingle your voice with a choir of many voices, are female, and are age 10 or older, you're welcome to join.

No experience is necessary, and there are no auditions. Reading music is optional, as music is taught by ear with part recordings provided.

The first rehearsal, with no obligation to register, is Wednesday, Sept. 11, from 7 to 9 p.m., at the Open Sing at All Souls Church in West Brattleboro.

The musical theme for the fall, as the days grow darker, is “Songs of Light.” Included are folk songs of various cultures, and arrangements and original songs - uplifting in meaning and sound - chosen by chorus director Becky Graber.

Chorus will rehearse Wednesday nights beginning Sept. 11, from 7 to 9 p.m., at All Souls Church, until the concerts on Nov. 23 and 24.

Cost is $110, with a family rate of $170 and a student (ages 15-25) rate of $60. Financial aid is available.
