GUILFORD — The Guilford Fire Department Auxiliary announces several fundraising events, and a chance for you to add to a cookbook.
On Saturday, Oct. 12, the group will hold a coffee break/bake sale at The Vermont Welcome Center on Interstate 91. To donate baked goods, call Heidi Cleveland at 802-254-6743.
On Thursday, Nov. 7, they'll hold a Pampered Chef party at the Guilford Fire Station at 6:30 p.m. Refreshments will be served.
Now about that cookbook: The Auxiliary invites everyone to participate in its cookbook fundraiser. The book will be filled with recipes from area residents, but you don't need to be a Guilford resident to add something tasty.
Categories are appetizers and beverages, soups and salads, vegetables and side dishes, main dishes, breads and rolls, desserts, cookies and candies, and “this and that.”
Organizers say they would like to include a section for firehouse recipes. Please submit original recipes only, for copyright reasons.
