Reunited and ready, the Duhks come to Next Stage

PUTNEY — Next Stage Arts Project and Twilight Music present Winnipeg, Canada-based roots music quintet The Duhks at Next Stage on Saturday, Nov. 9, at 7:30 p.m.

The Grammy-nominated and Juno award-winning band's original members have reunited after a three-year hiatus. You'll find Jessee Havey on vocals; Tania Elizabeth on fiddle; Jordan McConnell on guitar, pipes, whistles, and vocals; Leonard Podolak on banjo and vocals; and Scott Senior on percussion.

Vermont-based Americana, folk, and roots music duo Red Heart The Ticker opens the show.

The Duhks are one of the most musically adventurous bands to come from the roots scene in the past decade. Founded in 2002, the band boasts a diverse collection of musical influences, from old-time to jazz to Celtic folk and even punk.

Red Heart the Ticker is the musical collaboration of Robin MacArthur and Tyler Gibbons, a husband-and-wife duo from Marlboro.
