Our Place seeks input for its strategic plan

BELLOWS FALLS — Our Place Drop-In Center seeks public comment on its performance Thursday, June 26, at 7 p.m. at the center.

In updating its strategic plan, the center is asking both the general public and its users and donors how they see the daytime shelter and food pantry meeting its goal of eliminating hunger in Windham County one family at a time.

Our Place has been serving the area of greater Rockingham and Walpole, N.H., for more than 20 years. It last developed a strategic plan in 2008. Meanwhile, demands on its services have increased.

“We know that many people who use and support Our Place have insights that can help us plan for the next three to five years,” said John Bohannon, the organization's board chair.

“The number of guests who daily come to Our Place for meals, food to take home, and other support, and the large number of donors and supporters who continuously and generously make our operations possible speak to the value of Our Place to the community,” he added.

The center says it hopes that anyone who has comments about how it can do its job better will attend the public comment session, which is expected to last no longer than one hour. Light refreshments will be provided.
