BMH’s Richards Building suffers flood damage

Some outpatient services are relocated while repairs move forward

BRATTLEBORO — Brattleboro Memorial Hospital administrators said last Friday that the lobby of the hospital's Richards Building will be closed for a few weeks due to damage sustained during the heavy rains on June 24.

According to hospital spokesperson Nicole Zinn, the following outpatient services have been relocated.

• Patient registration: Laboratory Services - Exercise Room (ground floor); All other outpatient services - Main Hospital Registration.

• Pre-Op Assessment - Medical Staff Lounge/Library (first floor).

• Laboratory Services - Exercise Room (ground floor).

To access these services, Zinn said people should use the new main hospital entrance.

The entrances to the Richards Building will remain open for access to Radiology (MRI and CT), as well as the elevators serving the first and second floors.
