Fulcrum Arts holds pig roast to celebrate grand opening

BRATTLEBORO — Fulcrum Arts is holding an “Opening Bash Pig Roast” on Saturday, Sept. 27, starting at 4 p.m. at its new location on 485 West River Rd. (The old Tom & Sally's building.)

Come see their new studio spaces, gallery, and kitchen/bath showroom. Planned are games in the backyard, a bonfire, music, dancing, and eating, and at 8 p.m. a glassblowing demonstration.

Fulcrum Arts is the collaboration of ceramist Natalie Blake and glass blower Randi Solin. Previously tenants in the Cotton Mill complex in Brattleboro, the two worked for nearly eight years to find a location in town to build a joint studio and workspace to hold workshops and display and sell their pieces.

Blake and Solin bought the former Tom & Sally's Chocolates building in fall 2012 and invested about $500,000 to renovate it into their new home. They moved in earlier this year and opened the gallery a few weeks ago.
