BF area businesses play active role in discouraging underage drinking

BELLOWS FALLS — Greater Falls Connections thanks the local businesses that recently participated in the Responsible Beverage Sales and Service Trainings in December co-sponsored by the Brattleboro Area Prevention Coalition and the Vermont Department of Liquor Control.

We recognize the important role that local retailers, bars, and restaurants play in preventing underage drinking and tobacco use. Thank you to Joy Wah, Bellows Falls Elks Lodge, Saxtons River Inn, James Petro/Shell Gas Station, and Penguin Market 2 for participating.

By taking part in the trainings, these businesses are demonstrating their commitment to making our community a better place to live, work, and play. These trainings are part of a comprehensive approach to increase collaborations with local retailers to reduce or prevent underage use of alcohol and tobacco, and to prevent sales or service to intoxicated customers.

Our mission is to connect the community of Windham Northeast by inspiring and empowering people through education and collaboration to promote wellness and prevent the abuse of alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs. Please join us and be part of the solution. Check out greaterfallsconnections.org, or call 463-9927 to see how you can be involved in building a healthy, nurturing, and supportive community.
