Putney Vaudeville returns to Next Stage

PUTNEY — Next Stage Arts Project, in collaboration with Strong Coffee Stage, will present Putney Vaudeville for a family matinee on Sunday, March 29, at 4 p.m., at Next Stage, 15 Kimball Hill.

Putney Vaudeville is the creation of Rebecca Waxman, Bronwyn Sims, Patrick Donnelly and Peter Siegel, an ongoing showcase that debuted its first three performances last year.

The event will include a professional act, a live band, assorted friends and neighbors displaying skills you may never have seen, and good-natured audience engagement. As always, refreshments will be available.

This spring 2015 edition of Putney Vaudeville will feature Thom Wall, and the house band led by Peter Seigel, performing a range of music from Celtic fiddle tunes to Tin Pan Alley chestnuts.

Thom Wall is a Cirque de Soleil juggler known for his avant-garde performance style, cultivated through years of study and performance - including training at the New England Center for Circus Arts.

A two-time medalist in the stage juggling world championships, and the reigning three-ball juggling world champion, Wall is not just a juggler; he has professional circus training, mime, and modern dance expertise.

Strong Coffee Stage is a Brattleboro-based professional company dedicated to creating compelling theater for local and international audiences, according to a news release. Founded in 2009 by Sims and Donnelly, Strong Coffee Stage combines movement, music, virtuosity, and humor in its stage productions.
