Seek change with an opened hand, not a clenched fist

I think Curtiss Reed Jr. wrote an excellent, serious, well-thought-out statement of outreach to Bernie Sanders and his presidential campaign.

I have to add, however, that in light of the recent disruption of one if his campaign rallies by alleged members of the Black Lives Matter movement, as well as Reed's dismissal of his past record on civil rights and apparent disregard of Eagle Scouts, he fails to give credit where credit is due.

Can Bernie and his campaign do more to highlight racial injustices and solutions to the many problems facing people of Florida, in Vermont, and elsewhere in this country? Yes!

But reach out with an open hand, not with a clenched fist, as was the case in that inexcusable disruption by the alleged BLM woman and her allies.

I don't want to draw too close of a comparison between them and Reed, but I sense something of the clenched fist in some of his remarks.

More power to him - and also to Bernie! Has he reached out to Hillary Clinton or the other Democrats running for president?

Good luck to all of us who don't hate, or fear, or divide!
