Blanche Moyse Chorale presents fifth annual Moyse Memorial Concert

MARLBORO — Once again, in Vermont's leaf-color season, past members of the New England Bach Festival Orchestra will join the Blanche Moyse Chorale under the direction of Mary Westbrook-Geha to honor the memory of their mentor, Blanche Moyse, with a presentation of music of her beloved J. S. Bach.

This year's concert program will be his renowned choral masterpiece, the St. John Passion, featuring: Carol Wincenc, flute; Stephen Taylor and Mark Hill, oboes; Mitsuru Tsubota, concert mistress; Daire FitzGerald, cello; and John T. Kulowitsch, bass. Sanford Sylvan will sing the role of Jesus, and Stephen Paul Spears is the Evangelist.

The concert will be performed twice: at 7:30 p.m., on Friday, Oct. 9, at the Chandler Music Hall in Randolph, and then at 2 p.m., on Sunday, Oct. 11, at Marlboro College's Persons Auditorium in Marlboro. Both venues are wheelchair-accessible. For any special seating needs, advance reservation is appreciated.
