Bonnyvale Environmental Education Center presents ‘The Lost Circus’ at Forest of Mystery

BRATTLEBORO — As the leaves take on a golden and crimson hue, and the nights cool, the trails of Bonnyvale Environmental Education Center become alive with their Forest of Mystery on Oct. 23 and 24.

Bonnyvale invites all to become part of their forest of mysteries as a circus troupe lost in time appears to mortals.

A hundred years ago “The Ringmaster's Amazing Circus” travelled the world, delighting adult and child alike. Then the mischievous clown Mr. Giggles tricked his fellow performers to follow him into the woods, never to leave it. Some say that near All Hallows Eve they appear, with spirits as lost as they were in life. Come on a mystical and whimsical adventure, full of acrobats, musicians, and lion tamers, as you learn the tale of The Lost Circus!

This interactive theatrical experience has a script cleverly crafted by Jessica Gelter, and under the direction of Jay Gelter, both well known to local theater. The story takes the audience on a nighttime adventure of wonderment with tales such as these to make the BEEC woods come alive with magic.

Because the audience moves through in groups of 20 at a time, reservations are essential to reserve your tickets for a particular time. Just go to www.beec.org and follow the link to register and pay. Someone will then call you to confirm a time. Groups move through the forest every 15 minutes starting at 6:30 on Friday, and 6:15 on Saturday night. Performances are not recommended for children younger than 5 years.

Tickets are $12 adults/$6 children for members and $15 adults /$8 children for non-members. Call 802-257-5785 with questions.
