BELLOWS FALLS — At the very first public forum about the proposed detention center, I asked Sheriff Keith Clark if he would continue with his plans to build it in our town if it was against the wishes of the community.
I asked him this question at both the beginning and end of the meeting, and both times he answered that he would not continue without community support.
