WBA meeting to discuss potential re-use of current West B Fire Station

WEST BRATTLEBORO - The regular monthly meeting of the West Brattleboro Association (WBA) will be held on Thursday, May 12, at 6 p.m., at the New England House, 254 Marlboro Rd. After a review of the treasury report, spring plantings, the last BizUp meeting, and other issues, the WBA will discuss details of the Chicken BBQ coming up on Saturday, May 28.

A feature every year of the group, the popular Chicken BBQ will once again happen in front of the First Congregational Church on Western Avenue in West Brattleboro. The menu will feature half chickens, baked beans, and coleslaw, available from 11 a.m. until sold out. More information on the event will be forthcoming.

The WBA will have an important discussion concerning potential re-purposing of the current West B fire station once the new station is built. The Town plans to demolish the current one, so the association will need to come up with a very solid re-use plan and the money to carry it out. People should bring their ideas and thoughts.
