Gallery Walk pop-up exhibit to depict January’s Women’s March

BRATTLEBORO — On Friday, March 3, during Brattleboro's Gallery Walk, Peter Havens Restaurant is sponsoring a community interactive photographic exhibit by area residents who participated in the Jan. 21 Women's Marches.

Anyone may participate, and participants should bring a favorite photo or two (any size, any paper) from the march they attended to donate to the exhibit, and two clothespins per photo. Most of the photos will be displayed on wire lines. Participants may also attach a short, optional synopsis of their experience.

According to a news release, the exhibit will be hung in Peter Havens' new addition to the restaurant at 32 Elliot St. The future use of this open space is to accommodate private parties at Peter Havens and to house Jasmine's Cakes.

The door will open at 4 p.m. to welcome participants and to assist with hanging photographs under designated geographic headings: Brattleboro, Montpelier, Washington, D.C., Greenfield, Mass., Boston, etc. Collages, signs, posters, and pink hats are also welcome. The exhibit will be taken down on Saturday, March 4; participants may stop in between 1:30 and 3:30 p.m. to retrieve any items they want returned.
