Compassion committee seeks your stories

BRATTLEBORO — Where do you see compassion at work in our community? Is there a person who comes to mind when you think of selfless acts? An organization that has made a caring impact on your life? A time when people have come together out of concern for others?

The Brattleboro Compassion Follow-up Committee is looking for good stories about compassion that you have seen or experienced.

Consistent with Brattleboro's newly publicized, and continued, commitment to compassion, the Brattleboro Reformer and The Commons have agreed to publish a Compassion Story of the Month. We are seeking submissions from or about people living in the greater Brattleboro area.

Submissions should not exceed 650 words and should be emailed to [email protected], or mailed to: Compassion Story of the Month, in care of Robert Oeser, P.O. Box 6001, Brattleboro, VT 05302. Be sure to include your name, address, phone number, and email address.

The first compassion story will run at the beginning of July. Submissions to be considered must be received by June 12.

Beyond these compassion stories, the committee is interested in your ideas and suggestions for actions that can be taken to provide and spread compassion. Please send your suggestions.
