Live music is featured at the Guilford Fair

GUILFORD — This year's Guilford Fair features three days of live music.

On Saturday, Sept. 2, from 1 to 3 p.m., there is a pre-fair concert featuring Kevin Parry playing “new and used Blues.” Parry uses acoustic, electric, and resonator guitars to complement his singing and harmonica playing.

On Sunday, Sept. 3, at 10 a.m. “The Lonesome Brothers,” featuring Ray Mason, Jim Armenti, and Keith Levreault play their original music style that they call “Hick Rock.”

At 12:30 p.m., Trailer Park, featuring Tom Mahnken on bass, James Robinson in guitar, Joe Fitzpatrick on drums, and Greg Lauzon and Rick Page on saxophones, plays “rockin barbecue music.”

At 3 p.m., Lisa Brande and Mark Trichka present their Cajun/zydeco project “East Street Bayou,” including Jeff “Not The Commons editor” Potter and Bee Dee Williams as the rhythm section.

On Monday, Sept. 4, at 10 a.m., it's “The Brattlyn Brothers” playing rock and rhythm and blues favorites with Kevin Parry and Joe Santry on guitars, Ken Storey on bass, Richie Mayer on drums, and Scott Sizer on trumpet and harmonica.

At 12:30 p.m., Paula Bradley and Bill Dillof, known as Moonshine Holler, play old-time Appalachian music on fiddle, banjo, guitar, and harmonica.

At 3 p.m., Guilford resident Patty Carpenter brings her Dysfunctional Family Jazz Band to the stage, including her daughter Melissa Shetler on vocals, her son Travis Light on bass, Melissa's father, Scott Shetler, on saxophone, Paul Sullivan on guitar, and Lou Trombley on drums.
