BRATTLEBORO — In a news report on the afternoon of Sept. 11, 2001, Dan Rather, CBS news anchor, commented that the collapse of World Trade Center Towers 1 and 2 looked like a Las Vegas casino demolition.
You never heard that newsworthy comment again until years later. The “fireball” collapse theory was force-fed by the controlled media and subsequently became the “official report.”
By the end of that day, myopic patriotism rose from the dust of the three towers that vertically collapsed to form in the national psyche the narrow consensus of what happened.
Some people who question the official report note that no skyscraper has ever collapsed in less than two hours from fire alone. Indeed, no skyscraper has ever collapsed from fire, anywhere in the world.
In June 2017 a fire quickly engulfed the 27-story Grenfell Tower in London. After nearly five hours of intense burning, it was reported that at dawn, “the blaze still burned brightly against the pale sky, with flames especially hot in the middle section.” The “blackened hulk” of Grenfell Tower was later “determined to still be structurally sound.”
The World Trade Center towers in the 2001 attack are noted for not becoming entirely engulfed in flames. The Grenfell Tower fire took six hours to put out, but Towers 1 and 2 blew apart in less than two hours.
“There is nothing more deceptive than an obvious fact,” said Sherlock Holmes.
One problem with considering controlled demolition in the attack is that it suggests a conspiracy and collusion.
You would proceed with the understanding that two forces were at work, one from within and one from without. The plane hijacking impacts were most certainly foreign elements.
However, if the three massive towers were in fact wired for controlled demolition, the job was most certainly presided over from within. Moreover, the controlled demolition would have been wired in advance of the attacks.
The two scenarios must be taken together in order to explain the pulverization of the three towers and the speed and symmetry of their collapses. When you factor in that most of the body count was comprised of bone fragments and splinters with few whole bodies or large body parts, the evidence defies the official fire collapse theory.
To a greater degree, Tower 7, without a plane impact to cause its destruction, was likewise pulverized when it blew apart and fell neatly into its footprint in the same manner as Towers 1 and 2.
By not creating an investigative alternative model in contrast with the “fire” theory to account for the possibility of a demolition, comparative forensic analysis was woefully incomplete and inadequate. And that's why there will always be demolition proponents who will explain the dastardly attack on the World Trade Center.
To be sure, fires don't pulverize people and buildings; man-made demolitions do.
I do not believe in coincidences. But I certainly know the hand of man when I see it.
