Stone Church Arts presents the Joe Davidian Trio

BELLOWS FALLS — On Friday, Oct. 20, at 7:30 p.m., Stone Church Arts presents the American Jazz group, the Joe Davidian Trio. The concert will take place in the beautiful Immanuel Episcopal Church, the stone church on the hill at 20 Church St., with its warm acoustics and 9-foot Steinway, according to a news release.

Davidian, a bandleader and pianist, is a Vermonter now living in New York City. He performs regularly, including appearances with jazz legends Chester Thompson, Ira Sullivan, Joe Lovano, and Duffy Jackson.

Davidian's passion for jazz education has landed him professorships at University of Vermont, Belmont University, and Middle Tennessee State University, and he also maintains an active roster of private piano students in New York City.

Bassist and Doctor of Musical Arts Jamie Ousley, voted “Best South Florida Jazz Musician of 2011,” is professor of jazz bass at Florida International University in Miami.

Austin McMahon, the trio's drummer, has released two albums under his own name, and teaches jazz improvisation at Harvard University and at New England Conservatory in Boston.
