Circus school thanks donors

GUILFORD — On behalf of the Board of Directors of the New England Center for Circus Arts, we would like to extend our heartfelt thanks and appreciation for all the help, hard work and donations we received towards our fundraiser at the Vermont Welcome Center on Sept. 17.

So many of our staff, students, parents, and friends contributed delicious baked goods and hours of prep work and staffing time. In addition, many local businesses also generously made donations, including Side Hill Farms Jam, the Brattleboro Food Co-op, Rentals Plus, Green Mountain Coffee, Vermont Soy, Vermont Maple Granola Co., Pepsi Cola Bottling Co of Brattleboro-Northampton, Grafton Village Cheese Co., Vermont Bread Co., Bruegger's Bagel Bakery, Price Chopper, and Hannaford's.

We were able to raise money to help support our outreach and scholarship programs. These programs allow us to subsidize circus skills classes for community youth who would otherwise not be able to access these great opportunities. These include winter sports classes for the Green Street School children, classes for students at Austine School for the Deaf, foster children involved with Northeastern Family Institute, as well as scholarships for up to 25 percent of our general students.

Once again, we are grateful for the generous spirit and actions of the Brattleboro business community and families and individuals as well.
