Bob Askey is Crowell Gallery’s June artist

NEWFANE — The exhibit for the month of June at the Crowell Gallery at the Moore Free Library, 23 West St., is “Imagination” by Robert Askey.

An artist reception will be held at the library on June 9, from noon to 2 p.m.

According to the library, this show is called “Imagination” because everything hanging in the gallery is the product of the artist's memory and imagination.

Askey is presenting a multimedia exhibit containing watercolor and oil paintings, pen & ink drawings, and graphite and mixed media work. The show content ranges from etchings of serious situations to a variety of whimsical moments in water color.

Over the past few years, Askey has won many awards in competitive art exhibitions throughout New England. See more of his work at www.bobaskeyart.com.

The gallery is free and open to the public during the library's regular hours.
