Lisa McCormick brings her singer-songwriter ukulele show to Next Stage

PUTNEY — Next Stage Arts Project, 15 Kimball Hill, presents singer/songwriter Lisa McCormick in a special CD release concert on Saturday, Sept. 8, at 7:30 p.m. at Next Stage.

Tickets are $16 in advance, $18 at the door, available online, through the Next Stage website (www.nextstagearts.org), at the Putney Co-op or Turn It Up in Brattleboro.

Though she's currently making waves as a prime local instigator of the “Ukulele Revolution,” McCormick has long been known as an outstanding guitarist and singer/songwriter whose insightful lyrics, strong voice, and sophisticated arrangements have earned her many loyal fans, according to a news release.

McCormick has performed across the U.S. Her five CDs present “a joyful mix of contemporary folk, jazz, pop, and world music.”

With this concert, McCormick celebrates her songwriting history and introduces her retrospective CD, Snapshots: Songs from the Journey.

Like the CD, this concert will include songs from every stop on her musical adventure. She will be accompanied by bassist Julian McBrowne and Brattleboro world fusion group Aura Shards
