Vermont Chamber Artists perform benefit concert at Brattleboro Music Center

BRATTLEBORO — Vermont Chamber Artists are a group of 16 professional Vermont and New Hampshire choral singers under the direction of Jessica Pierpont dedicated to giving back to their community.

In that spirit, VCA says it is organizing three concerts entitled “Revival” for the benefit of Seven Stars Arts Center in Sharon, starting with a performance on Saturday, Feb. 23, at 3 p.m., at the Brattleboro Music Center.

VCA will perform a variety of eclectic choral works such as “Zwei Beter” by Arvo Pärt, “Fly Me to the Moon” by Gwyn Arch, and “Somewhere Out There” by James Horner, Barry Mann and Cynthia Weil.

Vermont Chamber Artists will be joined by professional instrumentalists including accompanist Susan Montgomery-Grout and flutists Allison Hale and Robin Matathias.

VCA designates a charity beneficiary for each concert. For its upcoming concerts, half of the proceeds will be donated to the Seven Stars Arts Center, an arts organization that promotes instrumental and choral music in the Upper Valley. To find out more, visit www.sevenstarsarts.org.
