The annual “Concerts on the Green” summer concert series, held on the town green in Walpole, will kick off on Sunday, June 23, with the Amherst (N.H.) Town Band.
All shows will be held rain or shine on Sundays from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to pack a picnic basket and bring a blanket and/or lawn chair.
The eight-concert series continues with the Springfield (Vt.) Community Band on June 30, the Keene American Legion Band on July 7, the Westmoreland Town Band on July 14, the East Bay Jazz Ensemble on July 21, the Temple Band on July 28, the Brattleboro American Legion Band on Aug. 4, and the Nelson Town Band on Aug. 11.
