Sarah Gonzales: I am beyond grateful for my ability to maintain a small business and to have even started it. What makes this business so special is not just because I really enjoy folding laundry the Marie Kondo way, which is much like an art, but being able to have such grateful and awesome customers who appreciate my work and always seem to express their gratitude. ❤️

I live in poverty, and although it's not as bad as many other's situations, I do find myself in hard circumstances where I still need to decide which bill to pay or which utility is more important to keep on. Having a little work, despite some physical challenges, lets me provide a little bit more to my kids and our bills.

I couldn't do this without great customers. It's definitely changed my life, and I know it'll continue to do so because of the genuine community I live in! 🤗

Dorothy Grover Read: I am truly thankful that we live in an area where the bulk of our food can be grown or produced within our state - usually just a few miles from our homes. This means healthier families.

We know the names of our farmers, and they are our friends. We don't need to rely totally on the massive agriculture systems that are in place in our country - systems that look at business' profits first and human health not at all.

Compared to most areas of our country, we are truly blessed.

Bonnie Girvan: I am so grateful for the ability to change my mind, even when I think I am so right about something - to see another's point of view and respect them in spite of our differences.

Calvin Moen: Vermont instituting Indigenous People's Day. Maybe next we can replace Thanksgiving with a Day of Mourning.

* * *

Nancy Braus: I am grateful for the woods, fields, and dirt roads that my dog and I are fortunate enough to walk through every day. I feel like the most fortunate person in the world to have my amazing daughters and to have two grandchildren who are the very best ages - 4 and 7 - living in Brattleboro.
