Wardsboro Curtain Call returns with three new shows

WARDSBORO — Wardsboro Curtain Call (WCC) is resuming programming, with three more shows planned for 2021 in the Town Hall on Main Street.

• On Saturday, July 24, at 7 p.m., the Gene Pool, comprised of local musicians Gene Morrison, Dave Arnold, Colin Blazej, Jake Geppert, and John Pozzi, will offer the audience what they describe as “an evening of fine original acoustic Americana.”

To minimize personal contact, admission for this show will be by donation, with no refreshments supplied. Plan to bring your own libations and snacks. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.

• On Sunday, Sept. 19, at 2 p.m., Bruce Mandel performs in a return engagement, having played the WCC Music Series in 2018. Singer & Musician Magazine says that Mandel “brews up a coffeehouse sound that's espresso rich in inspiration and experience.”

For this show, WCC will move toward a more traditional event with a $10 admission and some refreshments; bring your own bottle. Doors open at 1:30 p.m.

• On Friday, Dec. 3, at 7 p.m., the Wyld Nightz Band returns for another dance party - this time it will be WCC's Holiday Flannel Formal event.

“Wear your best flannel for the occasion - as well as your dancing shoes/boots,” event organizers write. Admission will be $15 and refreshments will be provided; bring your own bottle. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
