Fall art classes begin at River Gallery School

BRATTLEBORO — River Gallery School (RGS) is planning a fall semester that will increase in-studio classes and offer many online classes and workshops.

Art students of all ages can choose a weekly class or a shorter workshop in RGS's Main Street studios, with tall windows affording great natural light, or opt for a virtual art experience with small and personal online classes.

All indoor classes will follow state COVID-19 guidelines and require masks.

The RGS studios are equipped with a wide range of quality art materials to use and experiment with. Students can explore their individual paths in dialogue with their teachers and devise art projects that fit their interests and aspirations.

Adult and teen students can choose a weekly Art Studio class (with three time options), a Printmaking studio class, and various workshops in Bookmaking, Abstract Painting, Landscape Painting, Walnut Ink Making, Akua Ink Printmaking, and Pet Portrait Painting.

Also offered: a Sunday painting group, a monthly Local Portrait group, and a new Creative Aging group.

Kids can choose from three weekly class times, and teens will meet on Wednesdays.

Online classes and workshops feature Digital Painting, many and various Watercolor classes, Collage, Printmaking, Meditation and Art, Tesselations, Fantasy Art Making, and Intuitive Art Community.
