• Lois Marie (Baldwin) Kenan, died April 1, 2021 at age 78 in Vancouver, Wash., at Community Home Health & Hospice from ovarian cancer. As always, she was surrounded by love from family and friends, far and near. She was born on May 7, 1942 in Claremont, N.H., to John “Jack” Noller Sr. and Dorothy Violet (Johnson) Baldwin, one of three children. Lois grew up on a dairy farm and graduated high school in Charlestown, N.H. She attended Keene Teachers College, and taught elementary school in Greece, Germany, Texas, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Alaska, where she retired from teaching. An avid traveler, she toured places such as Jamaica, Africa, Mexico, China, Nepal, Turkey, Italy, Canada, Russia, Australia, and Fiji. She also travelled throughout the United States, even as recently as last year while still battling cancer. Along with traveling, Lois loved the outdoors and enjoyed skiing, hiking, biking, fishing, rafting, windsurfing, skydiving, heli-skiing, and dancing. As a mom and grandmother, she was generous with her love and attention. Lois eagerly shared her zest for life and passed along her passion for travel and adventure. Lois is survived by her fiancé Cecil Bell of Bagdad, Fla.; her children Kelly Kenan-Scott (daughter) of Vancouver and Kevin Kenan (son) and his wife Stephanie Kenan of Eugene, Ore.; her brother, John N. “Jack” Baldwin Jr. and his wife Linda Baldwin of Spofford, N.H.; 5 grandchildren, Caitlin, Blaine, Skyler, Octavia, and Ella; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends that are family. She was predeceased by her parents and her brother, Scott Wilson Baldwin. Memorial information: A graveside service is scheduled on Friday, Sept. 17, at 10 a.m., at Hope Hill Cemetery in North Charlestown, N.H.

• Calijah Benjamin Sequoia Lindvall, 21, of Brattleboro. Died Aug. 21, 2021, after 21 years on this earth. Born Sept. 4, 1999, he was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Ned Lindvall. He is survived by his loving mother, Keri Lindvall of Brattleboro; his father, Paul Sylvia; his life-long Dad, Matthew Betts of West Brattleboro; maternal grandmother Robyn Stevenson, uncles Ed Lindvall and Taylor Stevenson; great-grandmother Rita Alley, and many other aunts, uncles, cousins, family, and friends. • Carrie Bartlett Wheeler, 86, of Wilmington. Died in the comfort of her own home on Sept. 3, 2021. She was born Jan. 24, 1935 in West Dover to Halbert and Gertrude (Howard) Bartlett, the third of eight children. She grew up in Dover and attended grade school there. She graduated from Wilmington High School, Class of 1952, and then attended and graduated from the Thompson School of Nursing in Brattleboro. In 1954, she married Henry Wheeler and they made their home at The Wheeler Farm, where they lived, worked, and raised their family of seven children. Carrie was a hard working, loving woman who focused on being a farm wife and mother. Her family was her passion and she loved the farm. She was for many years very involved with the Vermont Farm Bureau, serving as president of the Windham County chapter. She was a member of the Wilmington Baptist Church and served as a Deaconess and Sunday School teacher. She also belonged to the River Valley Riders Motorcycle Club and the Deerfield Valley Stump Jumpers snowmobile club. She enjoyed bowling, gardening, word and math puzzles, reading, and trips to the ocean with Henry. She especially enjoyed and looked forward to family gatherings, and was a super fan of Johnny Cash and the Boston Red Sox. Henry, her husband of 64 years, died in 2018. Besides her husband and her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Howard Bartlett; her sisters, Sandra Johnson and Irene Sherman; and grandchildren Caroline Wheeler, Christopher Duhaime, and Jessica Wheeler. She is survived by her siblings Julia Fox, Reginald and Donna Bartlett, James Bartlett, Terry and Jim Brissette, her sister-in-law Irma Bartlett and her brother-in-law Calvin Sherman. She is also survived by her children, Martin and Carol Ann Wheeler, John and Elizabeth Wheeler, Diane Wheeler and Todd Batchelder, Douglas and Jackie Wheeler, Janet Hubbard, Robert Wheeler and Paul Wheeler. Her surviving grandchildren include Jeffery Wheeler, Megan Crowley, Nancy Sage, J. William Wheeler, Marc-Andre Duhaime, Carrie Wallace, Travis Wheeler, Andrea Wheeler, Matthew Hubbard, Joshua Hubbard, Tanya Wheeler and Shiane Wheeler, and her great grandchildren Sadie, Axton, Maverick, Arianna, Ethan, Perrin, Tucker, Liam, Trentin, Jackson, Parker, Remy, and Jonathan, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. Memorial information: Graveside funeral services for Carrie were held Sept. 13 at Riverview Cemetery in Wilmington.
