I just discovered a small error in the article on the Harris Hill ski jump, which states that “Mount Washington is the highest peak in the eastern United States.” Mount Washington is only the highest peak in the northeastern U.S. Mount Mitchell in North Carolina takes the title of highest peak in the eastern U.S.
When I was double-checking that fact, I discovered that Mount Washington isn't even in the top 10 highest in the eastern U.S. All 10 are in the Southeast in the southern Appalachian Mountains!
The Northeast is a great place, but we do need to watch our New-England-centric tendencies.
