BRATTLEBORO — On Friday April 22, from 4 to 7 p.m., join 350Brattleboro, Bonnyvale Environmental Education Center (BEEC), and many others to celebrate all the ways people are working toward climate justice.
Starting at 4 p.m., organizers said they will have tabling from environmental, social justice and conservation organizations so people can “learn about all the ways your friends and neighbors are working to address climate change and foster a healthy and beautiful natural world.”
They said they will be offering three visions of ways funding from the federal American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) can be used to address the climate crisis, and ask others to share their own visions.
There will be food and entertainment, including music, dance, and plastic-waste puppets crafted by local talent and guided by Sandglass Theater of Putney. The puppets will be made on Thursday April 21, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the old Elliot Street Café, 134 Elliot St. Children 8 and over (accompanied by an adult) are invited come and make trash puppets.
They will have music and games, and an opportunity to craft your own noise maker (drums, shakers and the like) and deck out your bike so that you may join in a parade down Main Street at 6 p.m.
