Sundays on the Hill Concert Series returns to Weston

The Sundays On The Hill Concert Series committee says it is “so delighted to offer our twenty-fourth year of concert series after the COVID pandemic changed all of our lives in so many ways. We hope that we will be seeing many familiar faces this summer and look forward to meeting many new music supporters.”

All of the concerts will be held in the Church on the Hill (Community Church) in Weston at 4 p.m.

Starting this year's season on Sunday, July 10, is the renowned Taconic Chamber Players (the resident ensemble of Taconic Music in Manchester, Vt.) with violinists Joana Genova and Heather Braun, violist Ariel Rudiakov, and cellist Hannah Holman.

The quartet will perform works by Sato Matsui, Reinhold Glière, Antonín DvoÅ™ák, and Jessie Montgomery.

Doors open at 3:30 p.m., and there are no reserved seats and no advance tickets. Admission is paid at the door, which is still only $5 for adults, thanks to support from Patrons of Sundays on the Hill and other anonymous donors, and children 12 and under may attend at no charge.

As is the case with the Weston Playhouse, the concert series requires proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours, and masks are required when inside.

See SundaysOnTheHill.org for more information about the concert series.
