BRATTLEBORO Building Work Ethic and Personal Skills for Employees: How do we define and evaluate work ethic and personal skills? Differentiate between attitudes and behaviors? Strategies for build work ethic and personal skills, and for recruiting and employee development will be discussed. The first hour will be an informal presentation on the topic. DUMMERSTON Dancing & Drumming: Simba: Celebrate the Winter Soltice and the end of the Mayan calendar with Simba's annual dance and music. The band members are Dan DeWalt on keyboard, steel drum and trombone; Bob Stabach, sax and flute; Wim Auer, bass; Charlie Schneeweis, trumpet and vocals; Steve Sonntag, trumpet and percussion; Derrik Jordan, guitar, keyboard, percussion, violin and vocals; Steve Leicach, congas and talking drum; and Johnny Yuma, drums and vocals. Dance to funk, reggae, latin, world beat, soca-calypso, ska, jazz, and blues. Rupa Cousins will lead a movement meditation dedicated to peace, love and unity. BRATTLEBORO Candlelight Hayrides: Celebrate the Winter Solstice. Ride through the dark woods and fields past a candlelit fir tree, lamp-lit stream, torches and home made lanterns. Snuggle down in the hay to hear voices ringing out from darkness in celebration of light, peace and the change of seasons. First come, first served.
