BRATTLEBORO "The Drowsy Chaperone": This story concerns a middle-aged, musical theater fan known only as Man In Chair as he plays the record of his favorite musical, the (fictional) 1928 hit "The Drowsy Chaperone." The show comes to life onstage while he wryly comments on the music, story, and actors. Laugh-out-loud funny, it lovingly skewers the tropes of early 20th century musical theater through the lives and action of the characters. Written by Bob Martin and Don McKellar, with music and lyrics by Lisa Lambert and Greg Morrison. Directed by Rebecca Waxman, Mary Sugar is the Music Dir., Shoshana Bass, is the lead choreographer. (Continues 7/13-7/15). 7/11-7/12: 7 p.m. Through Wednesday, July 12. $15, $13 seniors, $11 students. New England Youth Theatre, 100 Flat St. Information: 802-246-6398; Click for more info on Web in new window.
