BRATTLEBORO Chess Classes for Youth: Chess helps children develop their problem solving skills and increase their attention span. The improved ability to focus and concentration gained from playing chess usually transfers to academics. Eric Strickland introduces basic principles of chess, along with simple strategies and tactics, and provides a venue to play practice games. (Class runs through 2/23).
