BRATTLEBORO Fermented Vegetables 101: Hosta Hill's Mark Phillips teaches adults how to ferment vegetables safely and effectively at home. Community building

VERNON Vernon Historians Annual Food/Bake Sale: Homemade donuts, cookies, pies, whoopie pies, baked beans, brown bread, jam, pickles, and other baked goods and foods will be available for purchase. Vernon Historians booklets "Vernon Voices" and "Wise Old Sayings," note cards, "History Tour of Vernon" DVDs, Pine Top Ski Area posters, and Barbara Moseley's hand-painted Christmas ornaments also will be for sale. This is a yearly fundraiser for the Vernon Museum, Chapel, and supplies related to the presentation and preservation of local history. 7:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. downstairs (during town voting).
