Steve Winters, geologist/Holyoke Community College Professor of Earth Science explains (from a geologist's perspective) why today's birds may be better classified as modern-day theropods (carnivorous saurischian dinosaurs) than as members of the class Aves. 7 p.m. in the Meeting Room. Chris Lann will lead you through the steps of choosing a suitable model to replicate, preparing a mold, pouring molten silver and finishing the cast object.
