Kids and families

Story Time - Guilford Free Library (Zoombrary): Librarian Cathi Wilken and Laura Lawson Tucker run the story hour from the library and home respectively. Singing, reading, and yoga: Tucker starts the program by reading stories aimed at babies and toddlers, with help from stuffed animal friends Frederick and Patty. Wilken's books, which finish up the program, are aimed at an older group. 11 - 11:30 a.m. Some children are eating snacks, some are sitting with their parents; some come and go on screen - but everyone joins in whether it's singing or stretching into yoga poses. Well-being

"Under Isolation: Grieving the Loss of Contact with Loved Ones in Care Facilities" (via Zoom): This is a new support group for adults which offers a time for listening, a safe space for sharing experiences, and access to support in these times of isolation. Offered by Brattleboro Area Hospice, Suzanne Weinberg facilitates. 5 - 6 p.m. on Wednesdays. Group size limited to 6. Free. Zoom. Vermont Urban & Community Forestry Program - Trail Building & Maintenance (Webinar): Luke O’Brien and Kathryn Wrigley, Forest Recreation Specialists, present this workshop on the fundamentals of trail building and maintenance. Topics include trail design and layout, corridor development, drainage and erosion control, bridging, and restoration.
