"Braver Angels" - a Film Seeking to Reduce Divisiveness in the U.S. (via Zoom): Directed by four-time Emmy award-winner Jim Brown, this film captures an unusual gathering of a group of "reds" (Republicans) and “blues” (Democrats) in Waynesville, Ohio coming together to find common ground and even forge friendships despite initial tension, trepidation, sharply differing views. With the country in a political as well as a health crisis, and with the 2020 election promising to be one of the most divisive periods in our history, national organizations are stepping forward to help in healing the bitterness and rancor. One of these is Braver Angels, whose Maine/New Hampshire chapter, appreciating the efforts already being made in Brattleboro, now includes Vermont. While the organization supports vigorous pre-election campaigning, it believes that political tensions and strife can be reduced through humanity and decency. 7 - 7:50 p.m. followed by a discussion led by Miriam Dror of Brattleboro and Braver Angels organizers in collaboration with Compassionate Brattleboro. Free. Zoom. To register, send your name and email address to: email@example.com. Or use this link: https://us02web.zoom.us/meeting/register/tZwkc-mpqz4qHN2wtro6cX74OGN3F9s0o2-C.
