Brattleboro Area Jewish Communitys "Shine A Light for Social Justice 2021" Chanukah Celebration (Zoom/In Person): Each night we will be shining a light on one of these critical social justice issues: Environmental Justice, BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color), LGBTQ+/Sexual and Gender Orientation, Women’s Equality/Elevating Women’s Voices, Health Care, Economic Security/Food and Shelter for All, Immigrant Justice and Embracing Religious Freedom. 5 p.m. Zoom first 7 nights. At 4:15, on the 8th night, gather in person at the gazebo on The Common in Brattleboro. Along with prayers and songs, we'll eat latkes/sufganiyot, drink hot cider/hot chocolate, and BAJC's new Rabbi Amita Jarmon will shine a light on Embracing Religious Freedom.
