BRATTLEBORO Lunchtime Pipe Organ Series: Patrick Walker: The musical program today presents works by living American composers: "A Mighty Fortress," Charles W. Ore (b. 1936); "Fantasy and Toccata," Ned Rorem (b. 1923); "badnˈäZH," Patrick Walker (b. 1994); "Aspects of Glory" and "My Home in Glory," Libby Larsen (b. 1950); "Suite in F for Organ," Carson Cooman (b. 1982). 12 noon-1 p.m. Patrick Walker began playing organ at age 15. He recently received commissions from the American Guild of Organist's Boston Chapter and Juventas New Music Ensemble. His compositions have been performed in Canada, Russia, across America. Join us every first Wednesday for a unique program of organ music performed on our Historic Estey 3-manual pipe organ. Each month we showcase another talented organist visiting from around the Northeast!. Free of charge. Donations gratefully accepted on a sliding scale (suggested $25 to $50 per person).
