BRATTLEBORO Chuck Olson, Julie Abrams, Julia Zanes: Chuck Olson's exhibition of paintings and collages, "Object and Memory," illuminates the main gallery. With the seductive brushwork and gestural energy of the Abstract Expressionists, the balances achieved assure that each painting stands alone, complete and whole. Jackie Abrams passed away on November 6. This memorial exhibit includes work created over the last months of Jackie's life and is the final opportunity to select baskets and vessels from her collection. Proceeds will help support the Jackie Abrams Legacy Scholarship for North Country Studio Workshops, founded by Jackie in 1993. Julia Zanes is the newest artist to join the gallery. Her imaginative mixed-media paintings are influenced by history, fairy tales, and Ethiopian scrolls, with an intention to create objects imbued with a positive, apotropaic power. Also on site: Josh Bernbaum, glass; Emily Mason, monoprints; Michael Abrams, paintings; Amy Arbus, photographs. Through Sunday, January 9. .
