Keene State Theatre and Dance - "The Last Five Years" (Livestream and In-Person): Using a form of storytelling in which each character's story is told in reverse chronological order, this musical explores the five-year relationship between rising novelist Jamie Wellerstein and struggling actress Cathy Hiatt. The characters do not directly interact except for a wedding song in the middle of the play as their timelines intersect. 7:30 p.m. (plus 2 p.m. matinee on 4/3). Unique in its casting approach and exploration of gender and sexuality, this play is double-cast - some performances explore a heterosexual relationship between characters, the other reimagines their relationship as a homosexual love story to expand the lens on love/sexuality. Written by Jason Robert Brown. Directed by Kirstin Riegler, Keene State Assoc. Prof. Acting/Musical Theatre. Through Saturday, April 3. Free. In-person seats at Keene State College's Redfern Arts Center offered only to the KSC's community. Livestream. Tickets: 603-358-2168, www.keene.edu/arts/redfern .
